Tom daley

When competiting in Montreal, the UK team usually stays at a motel close to the Olympic Park. Last time they were here, Jack and Tom posted photos of them at a local shopping mall across the street from their motel. Would be curious if they were staying there during this week's competitions.

So he is moving to America permanently because Mr Black got into that fight? I really don't understand because that fight would have resulted in guns if it was in America.
From what I remember, the plan was always to move to LA. They stayed in London while Tom was still competing, but since he had unofficially retired they moved.

I think it's the court case rather than the fight. He seems aggrieved at the expense and perceived injustice at having to fight a court case when he believed he was the victim. I'd be annoyed too tbh, but I wouldn't expect an apology from the government. That comes off as a little entitled. Also, I doubt the US legal system would be any less litigious, at least in any State in which they would want to reside.

How is it entitled to expect an apology for a malicious prosecution that cost you $600k+ to defend yourself from when you were the victim of being punched in the back of the head? And why would you want to live and pay taxes in a country that did this to you when you have other options?

It is entitled to expect a national government to drop what they're doing and apologise, yes. That is the only part that I said was entitled, a normal person wouldn't think to say such a thing. As for the $600k, I've already said I'd have been annoyed too, but ultimately it was their choice to spend such a vast amount on lawyers. I doubt you're going to agree so I'm going to end it here rather than clutter up the thread for everyone else.
