I think judging the movie based on a few early still is very premature. And Nolan has give good shirtless moments in his movies. Bale was shirtless a decent amount in Dark Knight.

And considering Nolan's love for I-Max film even just a ten second scene of Tom shirtless on the big screen will be enough.
I recently rewatched the movie Troy with Brad Pitt and I was kinda expecting more of that vibe for The Odyssey, with warmer weather and Tom wearing crop tops.
Although Nolan is not much of a sexy filmmaker, everyone kind of expects a story based around Ancient Greece and it's myths to feature sex and lust. He decided to include some unnecessary sex scenes on Oppenheimer so I'm hoping he won't turn his back on a story that actually features them.
