This really just goes to show how we and our “allies” are just the loud minority. The vast majority is still pretty much homophobic and it takes someone like Tom who represents something they treasure (i.e. spiderman for all the nerds) to push them into breaking their silence and showing their true colors. He’s being cooked everywhere on twitter smh.

That's absolutely not true. The majority isn't homophobic. The normal majority don't care. It's the butthurt crybabies on the internet who sit there complaining about everything. It doesn't matter what it is. He could adopt a kid from Africa and everyone would flip out online. The very very loud vocal minority. The majority of the population isn't homophobic.
