I hate to be the one to burst this particular bubble, but I have a friend who used to be Tom's workout buddy in the years before Magnum and way before he got known. He told me he was notorious for being shy about using the gym to change in, not because he was an actor (he wasn't at all famous then) but because he was well below average and very embarassed about it.
