Cancel? Who said anything about cancelling them? Is it too much to ask people to own up to their mistakes? At 16 someone is well versed in issues race. One can try to argue that they mean't no harm when they used nigga but your age doesn't justify anything.

Well of course people have the right to take that word offensively. It's offensive. And no being 16 doesn't justify his action. However, he is 20, a full ass adult. People can change in that time period. As someone who was racist and transphobic when I was 16, I can assure you that it's possible. Therefore I do not believe canceling him is smart. Criticize him. Keep an eyebrow raised and if he says racist shit now then fuck em right to hell. People should not be canceled or have their future handicapped(and this is just in general not specifically him) because of tweets from when they were stupid teens.
