Nothing to do with that, he comes off as judgemental, too much, and in the early days as a racist (he got called out and retracted it) and just overall non-pleasant to be around with, maybe that's the reason his demographic is mostly teenager girls looking for a 'gay BFF'

He’s independent and trying to make a life for himself. I don’t see how that makes him obnoxious and self-obsessed. He’s trying to build himself up and get by. He seems thoughtful, he is American, and a dancer, and a twink — nothing wrong there. I just don’t take him too seriously. We’re a world apart, and I don’t mean geography. Frankly, it’s fun to see him trying so much. And as a dancer, he might as well be an extra-terrestrial, so I find him refreshing there, too.
