It doesn’t mean it’s ok. It’s also illegal in California. Age of consent is 18. Her parents allowed her to get plastic surgery underage too. U outed urself u think that’s ok and it isn’t. Most girls who are 16 dating men who are 21 and above have parents that aren’t aware. It’s not ok for a 16/17 yr old to date someone in their mid 20’s. Would 13 and 24 be ok if the parents didn’t mind?
Actually quite the contrary. Yes some parents didn't know the age of their child's BF or gf, let alone that they were dating at all. But, alot of parents are aware & don't really make a fuss. Hell some parents out here got 10 year+ age gaps
I’m 22 and when I was in senior and junior year a lot of girls dated older guys for example the guy was 22 23 and the girls were 16 and 17, there parents knew the guy and didn’t trip, alot of parents don’t care , and I also live in California too
Exactly, many of our parents have age gaps and even dated as teens so they really don’t care that their daughter date older men, in my opinion the tyga and Kylie age gap was odd but they really didn’t announce their relationship until she turned 18

But the age gaps are when they are adults most of the time. Would a 13 yr old dating a 20 yr old be fine in ur eyes if the parents were ok with it? Slippery slope.
13 and 20 is totally different from 17 and 25, both are bad but your using an extreme example for it. I think the mentality of most parents is that their daughter is nearing adulthood anyways so might as well let her date an older guy

Lol. Most parents aren’t ok with their 11th grader with a dude in his mid 20’s. Would the parents not care if their 16 yr old son dated a 24 yr old guy? Or even their 16 yr old son dating a 19 yr old guy?

You’re contradicted yourself by saying it’s bad for ppl who are 17 to date 25 yr olds but that it’s also ok if the parents allow it. It’s dishonest. You spun my point into something else. I was talking abt how their relationship was wrong. Not abt what the parents thought. It’s irrelevant.

Would u have the same mentality if a 16 yr old gay teen was involved with a 24 year old man? Most parents would think it’s insane for their 16 yr old daughter to come home with a 30 yr old man. That’s equivalent to the Kylie and Tyga dating situation. It’s not even like 17 and 19. Those relationships are seen as predatory by most parents. Cause if 17 and 25 is ok so would 16 and 30. It’s both a big age gap with An adult.

I was involved with older man at a young age and what about it, I knew what I was doing and I liked it, we like older men because they typically have resources like money , cars, and they’re sexy, now yeah obviously look out for red flags but overall many of us hooked up with older guys when we were younger
