Tyler Downs

Tyler has never officially come out but for some reason it's OK to assume he's gay (which is most certainly is)

But when we assume others on this forum are gay based on clues or behavior we get scolded.
He’s literally on Grindr, makes TikTok’s about being gay and Grindr, etc. It’s not assuming, he just doesn’t feel the need to have a big coming out party. So it’s different.

Don't you have to be on Grindr to know he's on Grindr? Which tiktok video are you talking about?

Btw. If he's officially out now that's great but if he is it's a very recent development. My point still stands. He wasn't out and yet it was OK to say he was gay.

Doesn’t that depend on the „proof“?

Not really because as you know, most "proof" is subjective.

My point is that is someone is traditionally masculine and you say you think they are gay you will get a lot of push back but for guys like Tyler it's OK to say they are gay without any "proof"

Why does he need to “officially” come out to the public? Does he really need to announce it publicly in an article or a PSA?
Why not just let him live his life the way he wants to?
Totally not necessary for him to make a charade about his own sexuality.

He doesn't need to officially come out. That was my whole point.

The point was exactly the opposite. : unamused: why some people (like Tyler) can be freely assumed gay and others - some barely that different from him - need a new Council of Nicaea or États généraux in order to be at least assumed bi on LPSG.
