What I meant by 'mainstream' (and I think the original person who used it may have also) is that his career is in mainstream products - meaning stuff made by the big entertainment companies. Non-mainstream would be material in the indie or art-house spheres... Wolf Pack is by definition a mainstream television product. Hence, mainstream actor.
