why am I thinking of Hippie Hollow and how even a (lingerie) thong would be overdressed?

My Mum calls them thongs, too. We were heading to Lake Travis one Saturday when we were younger, and my sister told her friend to wait up so she could get her thongs. When her friend looked at me there was terror in her eyes. I said "flip flops. She's going to get her flip flops." "Then why did she call them...." Long story.

LOL. This reminds me of when my parents were telling me and a friend about their new gym. They loved it except one annoying guy was always trying to strike up conversations with my dad. So dad says something like: “yeah this one old, fat guy keeps bugging me. He walks around the track in just his thongs....”

My friend shrieked and was like “Whoa What?!!!” I just love the idea that she was picturing some old dude taking a lap in a thong.

I asked my girlfriend a while ago if she’d consider wearing a thong at the beach and her reaction was something along the lines of “both too much and too little”. Too little on a regular beach as it leaves almost nothing to the imagination, and too much on a nude beach. She said she’d rather go fully nude among nudists than attract unsolicited attention at a regular beach.

Times have changed though and thong swimwear does seem to be more mainstream, at least in Europe.

This is how I feel about even a modest bikini. I feel like I'm living that classic nightmare of showing up to school in underwear. I feel exposed and displayed. I feel like I'm sexualizing myself. I have never worn one in public. I never purchased one. I tried on a few. My mother gave me one in the 80's, and it was really cute, but on top of all those other feelings, it also made me feel fat. I'd rather be nude with naturists, or conservative with everyone else.

Still going with my original answer of clean. Nothing so heart breaking as finding an empty drawers drawer on a cold day.

I rock boy shorts or square cut from the mens department. It's getting harder to find men bloomers without a junk gusset. I'm happy with a nice cotton bit o'knickers in most instances.

I have fancy panties I'll rock when the mood hits me. But most of those aren't really meant to be worn more than a few hours at a clip.

Special undies are selected for cut and fabric of specific garments. Nobody is hot enough to make panty lines work.
