Shafter was possibly Craig T. "Calvin" Anderson's favorite model. Calvin lived in a 18 room Victorian in Pacific Heights on Broadway in San Francisco with 4 working fireplaces and threw festive parties. Reportedly Shafter was invited to several of those Parties.
