Wearing jock straps as underwear?

Got a Decathlon near me, next to Ikea Nottingham, so will have a look next time I'm there.

Right now, been going to Fetch in Clapham, as well as Saints & Sinners in Blackpool (So happens I'm off to Blackpool on Saturday), but as most have pointed out, in the UK, getting jocks retail is not easy.

The jocks I do have, have been a godsend in this recent heat and the warehouse I work in, so wanting to get a few more in, but ideally want the Meyer / Bike Original sort (They known as Bike #10's?), not the fashion or swimmer style jocks.

If you want the bike style ones I’d honesty import them GYM v2 ones from jockstraps.com. Shipping is decently priced and even with the import tax lower than what it would all cost you here. I’m UK based also and had no issue and it was worth it. Some other good options if you want more classic ones are cellblock 13 which I believe clone zone and a few other places have.

Prowler in London do the Meyer ones I think.
I agree on wanting the old style sports jock, not the new fashion jock.
Meyer ones are ok, but the fabric isn’t particularly great, it’s a little abrasive sometimes.

yep the GYM brand replaced the BIKE brand. Russell sportswear (parent company) disbanded the BIKE division- and apparently did the numbers and determined that guys weren't buying and wearing jocks anymore?!?!?! The BIKE brand disappeared, but a different company reopened the same operation in the same factory, rebranding as GYM instead of BIKE. So essentially this is as close as you're gonna get to the #10. I think GOLDBERG is pretty great too...
Yup, jockstraps.com reopened the factory and just did a bit of a brand change and kept them going. The V2s are so damn close to Bike that it’s a worth replacement. Shame about the brand name going though, soft spot for a Bike waist band.

Agreed. BiKE is like synonymous with locker rooms from the 70s and 80s. Whenever i hear the word jock (adjectively describing an athlete) that brand comes to mind. I would love to know if there was some commercial (legal) reason why the brand could not be aquired. Maybe it was just less expensive (affordable) to buy the assets (the factory) and re-create the wheel (pun intended for those who get it) rather than trying to do the "under new management" thing...

Did you get charged an import tax? At what point was it charged?

Thanks.
Is it a percentage? How much did it work out at?
There's a handling fee of about 8 quid, and it was another 7 quid or so on top of that. I bought 4 pairs, so it's kinda cheaper the more you buy - still works out cheaper than buying them here though.

Saints & Sinners in Blackpool have them in at the moment

Thought it was Meyer that took over, certainly in Europe anyway, as they was Bike's EU trading partner.

Are there any stores I can buy an old school jockstrap at anymore ?
Can usually find them online. Jockstrap central has a good selection. That where I get pretty much all of mine

Depends where you are, however I have had luck at two locations in the UK.

Fetch over in Clapham, London, as well as Saints & Sinners in Blackpool, and I'm pretty sure there is a place not far from Birmingham New Street Train Station, that has them too.

Yeah I’m
In the Us, thing of the past I guess. I ordered one online but didn’t know if any retailers still carried
Them

In the US, probs best bet, is sporting goods stores, however in the UK, quite difficult, as Jocks was never a thing in the UK, barring in Cricket with a box, and those are a far cry from something like a Bike #10 (In the EU, they are now branded a Meyer, so you may also want to look for this brand, along with Jockmail), which is what you seam to be looking for, as am I.

As a side note, I tried Decathlon near me in Giltbrook, Nottingham, and they was located with Boxing supplies, and they was expensive, or just plain crap!

Not opposed to wearing jocks for regular underwear, but I was forced to last night leaving the gym after a workout and shower. Forgot to pack a clean pair of undies and all I had left in my bag was one clean jock. Actually, it's the one in my profile pic (a pic I took years ago), Under Armour jock that I bought in college. One of my faves and super comfortable. Might have to wear it regularly!
