Fuck that, I am not allowing some groomer to redshirt my daughter. The primary pass I tend to offer to such icky age gap relationships is at the very least the relationship was built on a foundation of two consenting adults coming together. I think it's borderline impossible for an adult to have a positive rearing influence on a child not translate into some aspects of grooming that child as a potential partner, outside of intention.
I see further examples of this in my own life, both with my stepdaughter and the hand in raising the children of relatives in laws and friends for yrs, often serving as the 1st positive or consistent male figure in their lives. Fast forward to today, I don't think it's any coincidence the majority of them are with guys that resemble me, in either or both personality and aesthetic when most guys in general don't.
I'm not trying to make guys out to be predatory or sickos...I just think it's nearly impossible to not alley oop yourself the adolescent, for the dunk you make 18+.
I think most women would feel similarly, and be accurate if one of their friends starting dating their son as soon as he turned 18.
