I’m currently seeking out advice on where/how to obtain trimix. A quick background I started using viagra for the last 2 years because of EQ issues I’ve been facing. In mid 2020 I started with Cialis 5-10 mg which didn’t do anything for me in terms of successful erections. So I talked to a doctor and decided to opt in for viagra, which he started me on the recommended dose of 25mg, which did not do anything for me either. In early 2021 I talked to my doctor and decided to up my viagra dose to 50mg. I thought that it would suffice but it did nothing for me, regardless if I didn’t eat or prepared prior to taking it. A few months later I decided to test my own dose and started taking 2 50mg pills prior to sex, but that gave me the bare minimum with minimal success. I would continue dosing at 100mg for some months and noticed that all I was ever achieving was the bare minimum. I talked to my doctor about upping my prescriptions to 100mg pills because I was taking two 50mg pills before sex just to maintain a decent erection at best, and that I was going through my prescriptions to fast having to take two 50mg pills at a time. He told me they didn’t feel comfortable prescribing 100mg for someone my age (28) , and to go see a urologist about it (btw this doctor was from GoodRx, not my primary) . A few weeks later I decided to take the risk and took 150mg worth of viagra in one take prior to sex and saw pretty decent results but nothing extremely amazing (I still had to be aroused to achieve it). However, I decided to not keep taking 150mg each time before sex because I thought it was a little over the top.

So now I’ve been considering trying trimix but I want to do it right. However, I don’t know where to start? I looked online and found a company called Olympic pharmaceuticals in Orlando, FL who ship out trimix without me seeing a urologist, but the reviews didn’t seem very great. So I’m looking at urologist in Gainesville, Florida (UF Shands) who could assist me in obtaining trimix. Would that be the correct start? If I book an appointment will they prescribe me the injections or will I have to come back multiple times until they do?

With GoodRx I tried explaining that perhaps the viagra isn’t being effective because it’s not drawing enough blood in order to work, but they didn’t buy it. They told 50mg is more than enough for the average male. I got checked and have no outside issues that would cause ED, I’m in perfect health.

I’m gonna post some old photos of mine from 2019 of what my erections were like before ED and prior to any ED medications, and I’m asking if they could be achieved the same way again with the use of trimix.

Any advice helps

I honestly don’t know much about trimix, so I suggest you get a thorough exam by a qualified urologist. ED meds like sildenafil affect blood pressure. Men have died when Viagra caused their BP to drop dangerously low.

Maximum safe dosage for sildenafil is considered to be 100mg, and it’s quite normal to be prescribed 100mg.

In my very amateur opinion, ED at your age requires experts to take a look at your situation and prescribe a plan. Self-medicating and online prescribers are not sufficient if you want to safely remedy your problem and bring that beautiful cock back to its full glory!

I agree with cockydude2018 completely. Your cock is a good barometer of a guys health. When things don't work as they typically did, you and your doctor need to start investigating and get to the root of the problem. Lots of blood work including hormone panels, heart check, etc.

My ED started in 2020 when my frenulum tore from having sex. I was struggling to get inside and I pulled in too hard and tore it but still kept going. Once I finished I pulled out and saw blood everywhere. I was basically out of commission for 3 months waiting for it to heal. Since then my EQ has dropped significantly. I can still get erection normally without viagra but the erection quality just isn’t the same. I also noticed I don’t get morning wood anymore.

As for my blood pressure, i have a BP machine at home and I actually check it before and after taking viagra and it’s still in the normal range (119/75 I believe)

I wanted to try trimix to see if it could help as I’ve heard good results from it on this site. My issue is I don’t have insurance right now and was looking to find out a good urologist who can prescribe me the injection without hundreds of dollars of visits.

First try Caverject. It is covered by many insurances and most drug stores have it and larger places like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart will have a GoodRx Discount.

Trimex mixes three ingredients and can only be mixed at a compounding pharmacy. These guys ship all over the world.
Trimix Injections - Westchester Compounding Pharmacy

I had prostate cancer and surgery+radiation so I know what its like from very recent personal experience.
I was told that after a couple of years w/o any erections, the muscles down there can atrophy. so take viagria every day (GoodRX covers that), and do the injections if you need it.

I just went through training on how to inject myself. If anyone is interested, I'll post it here

I’m pretty interested in knowing your routine with injections? What is a dosage that you consider effective for good eq? And do you use viagra everyday without issue? I would assume Cialis would be the primary thing for that

My doctor prescribed Viagra daily (I did not ask about Cialis), at a minimum to keep the blood flowing to your extremities. Since it is not covered my insurance, I went to walmart and used GoodRX - great discount.

The enemy of all hardons is sudafed The treatment for too much Viagria or too much CaverJet or Trimix is Sudafed.

I am receiving the Trimix my mail order tomorrow. I was told to use it minimum once a week, better if if is 2-3 times a week, and never more than once in a single day. And the day you inject yourself you skip the Viagria.

They start you slow with a small dose, and you rate the hardness of your chubby on a scale of 1-10 (five is enough for full penetration without any bending). They will raise it based on your hardness level until you reach at least a seven, but again, you don't want a constant hardon for more than four hours - that means a trip to the emergency room.

I told them if I needed a trip to the ER from being constantly hard for four hours, I would look around, and if there were no minors, announce it to everyone and volunteer for a show-and-tell..

One thing to remember about Trimix is that it is not a single formula. It is what is called a compounded medication, where three different drugs (hence, tri-) are blended in various proportions in a saline base, according to the doctor's orders. Some years ago, doctors could customize the blend individually for each patient, to give them the best balance between hardness, duration, and possible soreness. Sometimes some other drug, such as lidocaine, was added to make the injection more comfortable. This is how things were for the first few years I used it.

However, there were incidents with a different compounded drug which was contaminated, causing congress and FDA to tighten the rules for compounding pharmacies. So, now all batches of Trimix must be tested for contaminants. This means that it is no longer practical to customize a small-batch mix on a per-patient basis, but there are still quite a number of different "standard" formulations, which vary in exact mix and availability among various pharmacies. So, some years ago, my custom mix had to be matched up with the cloest avaiable standard formulation, which I do not like as much.

So, you can't just say "I need Trimix," because that isn't specific enough. A prescriber has to select the optimum formulation and right dosage for you, and strength and dose vary greatly. So you really are better off seeing a doctor in person. He will asses your condition, then often give you a short-acting trial shot to test your sensitivity to the medication, then choose the final formula and dose based on these results. The drug is then prepared by a compounding pharmacy, and shipped in a cold pack, either directly to you, or to you doctor for pick-up. After you receive it, you must keep it refrigerated or frozen until used, and it has a shelf life to retain potency, so it's best not to order too much at once. Another reason for seeing a specialist is that you might be able to use Bimix instead of Trimix. As the name implies, this is a mixture of only two drugs. However, the one which is omitted happens to be the one which requires cold storage, so Bimix doesn't need to be refrigerated, and is much more convenient, particularly if you travel.

There is the possibility of a dangerous persistent erection (priapism), particularly if using it multiple days in a row, dosing too much, using other drugs (other ED, but also including recreational weed, etc.), etc. If this happens, you can often fix this by just taking a big dose of over-the-counter pseudoephedrine, such as allergy or decongestant pills. However, a doctor can also provide an "antidote" syringe, which usually also contains some anesthetic, because you are going to be sore after such an incident. I've been using Trimix frequently for many years, and have never had a bad incident, although there were a few times when I had minor trouble. In some cases, just squeezing the blood out slowly by hand a couple of times was all that was needed. However, I have acquaintances that have had some bad incidents requiring emergency intervention, including one pornstar/escort, who was quite familiar with the use of the medication, yet couldn't figure out what went wrong that one time.

The correct injection technique and location is important. When I started out, they gave me an automatic injector, which I guess is good if you're squeamish. But the thing never got it right for me (I have a really fat cock, and I think it wasn't set to inject deep enough). I found that just injecting by hand was much easier and more reliable. It's a tiny needle, the same one used for insulin shots, so it's no big deal. Study an internal digram of the penis carefully. The places you want to hit (corpi cavernosi) are to the sides of center, and the needle needs to penetrate to the correct depth-- too deep may miss the mark.

One thing to keep in mind with any ED medication, including Trimix-- It may not work properly if you suffer from venous leakage. An erection is caused when a lot of blood enters the penis trough the arteries, and the various ED drugs enhance this. The penis is constructed so that this initial engorgement should swell the tissue and pinch off the veins that drain the blood from the penis, which then backs up bloodflow, and allows a full, hard erection to develop. However, in some men the veins do not get adequately pinched off, and the blood inside the penis cannot develop enough backpressure for a solid erection. As time went on, I noticed the Trimix was becoming less effective. The doctor attributed this to venous leakage and simply said "Use a cockring." This fixed the problem. I was starting to feel like an old man, but then discovered a (different) pornstar friend half my age also needed a cockring for the Trimix to be fully effective. (In fact, when I first started using Trimix, I felt sort of old and defeated, until I found out who else uses it...) However, if this is also your problem, you might want to try a ring before going to Trimix. By the way, NEVER use a METAL cockring with Trimix. Use ONLY rubber or plastic ones that can be easily stretched or cut off.

The great thing about this site is that you can find great support and information ...........

My ED started circa 1997 at age 43 y.o. I had an accident whereby I broke 2 vertabrae ( # 3 & # 11 ) in my back. It was a long recovery. After that, I really started to struggle with getting a decent erection, as I was having some minor issues prior to the accident itself.

I went to the Canadian Mens Clinic in Toronto. My blood tests revealed familial hypothyroidism. This is why you need to see a qualified medical advisor. There has to be some reason for your ED at age 28. My accident was definitely a contributor, however, on top of that I discovered, my hypo-thyroidism. Without knowing that, I wouldn't have made appropriate prorgess.

I went on Trimix and have been on it ever since. After all these years it produces an excellent hard-on. I did make small incremental increases over the years on my own accord.

I only have ever gone back for assessments and prescription renewals every couple of years.

Once I got over the fear of injections ( done with an auto injector ) the process is very quick, comfortable and easy.

I am considering urethal suppositories. I am very comfortable with sounding. By inserting my medical grade sounding rod, 6 in long, 8 mm wide, full into my penis, I can masturbate without an injection ! I simaltaneously wear a Durex Pleasure Ring ( cock ring available in any drug store ) which is really tight and holds the blood in to overcome leakage. It was an amazing "self discovery". Also refer back to ericbear's comments on cock rings as his comments are absolutely "spot on". Direct email for more details if you prefer.

All the best with your search. We are here to support you. Again, see a qualified medical advisor. As I mentioned, there has to be something going on for you to have ED at age 28.

EXCELLENT dialogue. You absolutely covered so many important factors. I have commented on June 25, 2023 on my experiences; our stories sound some what similar.

Yes, NO metal cock ring; I use the Durex Brand available in drug stores. It is excellent.

I also self discovered sounding rods, combined with the ring, that gives me great, non drug induced opportunities, to masturbate with great satisfaction.

I've been on TriMix for years, and saw a urologist to begin it. I had tried all the standard prescriptions with varying luck, none of it great. I had also been thoroughly tested to find any organic problems with my body but found nothing. So TriMix it was. He tried a specific dosage in the office and evaluated the results. We stuck with that one. I can easily call in and ask for a prescription to be sent to the compounding lab. It costs me about $94 for two vials of the stuff and syringes. That's good for about 8-10 sessions. As long as it hasn't expired in the refrigerator over time (there are time limits on how long it can be in the freezer as well as the fridge once you thaw it out once), it always works. Now, I may not be as hard as I was when I was 20, but it's great to be hard for hours, whether I cum or not. I may have to look into the cockring approach to make the erections harder, but not sure how to size them....

The Durex Pleasure Ring ( silicone ) is one size fits all. It is thick and very tight, so it is only comfortable to wear for a short time, mainly the time to j.o. or have vaginal / anal sex. You can start with it immediately.

Other cock rings, like metal ones, come in various sizes. i like to wear one from time to time, along with a glans ring ( again, varying sizes ) just cause I like to wear them. I don't use them for sex.

I have actually had a prescrip ( 2 vials ) last 2 years refrigerated, with no loss in potency.

When you can no longer have a hard-on, it is great sometimes just to have one, for that sensation alone, whether you come or not.

This site is really helpful for all of us ........ especially on matters like ED. No reason to suffer any longer like our dads or grandfathers did.

Thanks for the update! Yes, it's a great site to learn extra little details like this....where else would you?

I've had TriMix last nearly indefinitely in the freezer, despite what they warn you (to cover their asses), but one I open one and then move the vial to refrigerator it does have a shelf life before it doesn't work well for me. This was not your experience? I was wondering if you meant in the freezer when you said refrigerated. interesting!

Well I have playmates that i enjoy using for hours, using TriMix; are you saying that the Durex ring would be bad to have on the whole multi-hour session?
Thanks!

I just learned about freezing from your post. I have only ever kept it refrigerated and it has never expired for nearly 2 years !

After or before injecting, put on the Durex Pleasure Ring; your hard will remain very hard. However, after about 20 - 30 minutes you will probably need to take it off for a bit of a rest. I usually stroke my penis for a bit to get the blood flowing immediately after injecting.

When I use my Tenga Masturbator, I use only Trimix because having the sounding rod and the Durex Ring doesn't work well with toys; you want to get the full stroke after putting your penis into the masturbator and this isn't possible with the rod and ring on. However, straight masturbation does work well with the rod and ring combo. Oh yes, plus lube.

Using both the sounding rod and the Durex Ring together results in a hard on happening after I start stroking my penis and will last a bit after taking both out / off.

Enjoy the Durex Pleasure Ring; easily available in an Pharmacy, including Walmart Pharmacy where you can self check out with your "toys".

Try it and let us know how you make out. Again, all of this was by self discovery for myself. I don't think any urologist knows intimate details of this method unless they have done for themselves.

My wife passed away a couple of years ago. I masturbate almost daily now and feel no need to go to another relationship for physical satisfaction. The "tools are there" and so I use them.

Well, this thread keeps giving benefits, when I thought I'd understood all the ins and outs of TriMix! @ericbear says that the mix varies between compounding labs, which I didn't know. I assumed it was a standardized thing!

And now your storage methods seem much different! So let's explore that more! (Maybe related to the variabilities in the mix?)

My instructions are to keep both vials I get frozen until the first use is needed. I'm told they will last for three months this way (though they are known to be ridiculously conservative on these time estimates). I thaw one out, draw out my dosage and put that vial back in the fridge before it expires in 4-6 weeks. Yes, this is very conservative too, but I have tried to use it after about two months and it's just dead. So I'm surprised to see you state that yours lasts two years in the fridge! But jacking off every day means you never let it get close to that! lol Nice going!

The website below lists the common "standard" varieties of Trimix and "Super" Trimix. As you can see, there are 17 formulations listed, although any given compounding pharmacy may stock only a few.

The formulas differ in the concentration of the three drugs: alprostadil (aka Prostglandin E1, or PGE1), papaverine (PAP), and phentolamine (PHEN). The numbers on the web page are micrograms per milliliter for the PGE1, and milligrams per ml for the others.

The PGE1 is the drug that is heat-sensitive, and is why Trimix requires refrigeration and has a limited life even when kept cold. Another mix, called Bimix, omits the PGE1. Overall, Bimix is less effective, but it is all some men need. People who say that their Trimix lasts "years" in their household refrigerator (35 to 40 defrees F) probably need only Bimix, and therefore don't notice that the strength of the PGE1 is deteriorating with time. When the PGE1 deteriorates, it doesn't make anything harmful, so there is no safety concern. However, as with any injectable drug, once you break the seal (poke a needle in the first time), the contents of the vial are no longer completely guaranteed to be sterile, which is another reason for limiting the use life. Keeping it frozen greatly extends the life, and if you receive more than one vial, keep the extras frozen until you need them. A deep freeze (colder than the typical 0 degrees F) is even better. When you thaw it, you may notice some white crust. This is normal, it is just some salt from the saline base. Shake the vial and it will dissolve. However, if the liquid has turned cloudy, something is wrong, and don't use it.

Ahhh, fascinating. Yes, there's no way I have Bimix, because I definitely see a decline in effectiveness over time in the refrigerator. When I pick up my two vials at the compounding lab (this week!), they both go in the freezer immediately. (They won't even let me take them until I show them that I'm transporting them in a freezer bag of some sort.) When I want to use my first dose, the first vial comes out while the other remains in the freezer. I warm the "out" vial with my hands until unfrozen and then I pull out the dose I need, then moving this vial to the refrigerator. I don't really know how long it will last in there: maybe 6-8 weeks. Vials in the freezer seem to last indefinitely, but I've not tested it beyond a few months.

I have no idea what formulation I'm getting, but it seems to work well.

Thanks, Eric!

What is the recommended dose to get a good hard on?

And I’m not sure if I understand this correctly, but once I receive my trimix (tomorrow) do I keep it frozen until I use it and then place it back in the freezer once I’m done injecting?

Another serious question I have. Should I put a cock ring on and get hard before I inject trimix to make sure I don’t inject into any veins?

Lastly, can I use a cock pump after I inject to increase girth?

An answer to all these questions is greatly appreciated for once I receive my prescription tomorrow.

The doc will tell you a guideline for dose depending on how your cock responded.

I keep mine in the fridge all the time.

stay soft to inject at least that’s what my doc told me.

Inject into the sponge Tissue not into a vein! Avoid veins

I don’t see why you can’t us a pump after just be careful.

The dose varies greatly by individual person and Trimix formulation. If you obtained the drug from a legitimate source, your recommended starting dose should be marked on the vial. Sometimes it is provided in pre-filled syringes with the correct dose. If dosage instructions are not provided, I would be very suspicious of your source.

I use a cock ring for other reasons, but if it makes your veins stand out, this will help you avoid hitting a big one. If you do hit a vein, its no big deal, so long as the tip of the needle is still in the spongy tissue. You will bleed a bit. Just press hard with your finger for a minute until the bleeding stops. NEVER use a METAL cockring, however, as it may be impossible to remove if things work too well. It can be more difficult to inject properly if you are already rather hard. This is because you will eventually know from the feel of the needle going in, and the way the plunger feels that you are in the exact right spot and depth, and this is all different when you are hard. Also, you are much more likely to bleed when hard, even if you avoid all veins, because the penis is pressurized.

I sometimes also pump, but do it long (hours) before injecting, so the penis, although still thicker, is clear of excess fluid. Pumping too much can reduce the quality of the erection, even with Trimix.

Keeping the trimix frozen as much as possible will extend the life. But it must be thawed in the refrigerator, not at room temperature, so it can take a day to thaw out. So if you use it frequently, or need it on the spur of the moment, keeping it all frozen may not work out. However, if your fridge is at 35F, it will keep for a couple of months without significant loss of potency. To keep mine consistently cold even when the door is opened, I keep the bottle in an insulated lunch bag, with a cold pack. At the fridge temperature, the cold pack is slush, not frozen, but still stabilizes the bag against warm drafts opening the door, short power interruption, etc.

If you use it less frequently, you can pre-fill and recap a couple of syringes to keep in the fridge for immediate access, and freeze the rest of the vial until needed. My doctor actually prefers to supply pre-filled syringes, but I prefer and request the vial. I've tried freezing syringes, but often they end up leaking a bit out when thawed.

Trimix will keep in a syringe for a few hours at room temperature without serious potency loss, so if you need to discretely bring it to where you are going to fuck, you can bring just the filled syringe. I put it in a toothbrush case along with a couple of alcohol pads. However, it's always best to transport it in an insulated bag with a cold pack.
