I think "that's borderline pornstar photoshoot" is fair, though. As in, "that's the type of photoshoot we only really ever see from a pornstar." He's hard and and he's for-real pissing into a toilet, fluffed to with a semi, in another. Definitely the kind of magazine pics you typically see from porn stars.

I don't think @Curvy-d was saying it's porn, but that it's like a pornstar shoot. That's how I read it (and I agree, tbh). Everything else is sort of covered by the "borderline" part.

But I agree if you're saying, in general, that Americans (and British people) classify a lot of stuff as porn that isn't (not that Curvy D was saying that). I'm from northern Europe and I've heard Americans and Brits call the co-ed changing rooms and mandatory nudity in some health spas in countries like Germany "pornography," lol. Not in the least. Or penises in non-sexual contexts on regular TV shows and movies. Nope, lol.

I don't agree that Playboy is pornography. I don't agree that skin magazines in general can be called pornography. So I don't think an erection makes a picture pornography. Therefore Playgirl, like Playboy, could never be considered pornography. A pornstar photoshoot - generally - has exposed anus shots, a cumshot sequence, lots of closeups of genitals, sometimes insertion of dildos, etc. I've seen enough of the G Magazine pictures - some are truly iconic - and I'd say it was very rare for them to let readers get a glimpse of an anus. Erections were everywhere though but Playgirl also had lots of erections. It's just sad that most celebs that appeared in Playgirl never posed hard.

When conservative prudes were trying to fight pornography in the USA back in the 80s, they bundled up nude mags along with erotic, pornographic, and even revue/strip shows in the same category - so a Chippendale show could be considered pornographic. Jerry Falwell was responsible for that in large part. If only he had lived long enough to see what his son got himself into.

I'm also just speaking my mind and not discrediting other people's opinions. I just think that we, people that look at pornography a lot on this forum, should be able to not categorize all nude photoshoots as pornography.

I’ve noticed a lot of uncircumcised men Doing this in American porn or nude photography.

Is it just to fit in? Because being cut is more common in the US…?

You are correct. Many American pornographers, especially in the 1980's and in the early 1990's, unfortunately, feared that their uncircumcised actors would not appeal to their, assumed to be, squeamish, American audiences, (i.e. purchasers).

Luckily, they have since been proven to be quite WRONG!
