Which celebrities (actors, athletes, singers/musicians, politicians, TV hosts, etc. have formally posed for nude photos, either for art or to make a statement/support a cause?

I don't mean celebs who've been caught on film naked, or did some nudity in a movie or something, but ones who actually, formally and voluntarily *posed* nude for a photoshoot either before or after they were better known?

Obviously full frontal shoots (like Playgirl) are the gold standard, but I'd love to see any nude shoots that at least on some level challenged/rebelled against our more puritanical views of male nudity in America, so if there's a hot or particularly progressive shoot from a calendar or ESPN's Body Issue (or similar) even without penis, let's see it, lol. Less so super safe and unsexy stuff like PETA ads, but you post you, lol.

I kind of feel like they did the kid dirty here, though. He's an Olympic medalist and world-class athlete doing a nude layout with a major publication and they shoot and compose the shot, artistically, like it's a promo shoot for a new talent on a porn/cam site. There's no concept or theme; no use of location, textures, or light/shadow to give the shots depth or interest; and no use of the photographic art to create and interesting shot for this specific subject or publication. Nearly every one of his teammates has taken cool nudes, and this looks like a zero effort job where you'd be hard pressed to know it's a nude editorial shoot and would just assume it was a Bel-Ami (if even that) promo for a new gay for pay Czech model.

He deserved way better, IMO.

I don’t think they were ever meant to be published. I think they were just some fun shots at the end of his underwear shoot for GT.
GT published one bare bum shot in the printed magazine, and Jack made a cryptic tweet that day about being really upset and feeling let down. The shot was then cropped in the digital version of the mag so his bum wasn’t on show.
It was only many years later that these shots were released by the photographer (not GT). I think they were pretty impromptu.

This makes a lot of sense. You see a lot of that, where models are feeling themselves at the end of a shoot and either ask to (or are easily convinced) to shoot a few more shots, which feels like a bit of fun, only to find them covered by the release for the initial shoot and published by the photographer later. Famously, this happened to Suzanne Somers (who, after a bathing suit shoot at a gorgeous waterfall, was asked if she wanted to try some beautiful art nudes, not for publication, only to find them published in Playboy after she found fame on "Three's Company." Thankfully, she won a lawsuit in court.)

I can see why Jack felt let down.
