Or at least deflate! I would like this thread to be a discussion about the exponential rise of self employed online sex workers and whether the bubble/phenomenon will continue to grow and expand or whether the bubble will burst.
I'm hoping for a good debate/discussion not posts , photos and links related to Onlyfans photos, videos and accounts.
I say Onlyfans because they by far are the market leader in online porn stars subscriptions but I guess the point would be valid for all other similar companies like Justforfans.

In my opinion we are in many ways and senses blessed to live in this boon period of online subscription porn. There is an abundance of it, perhaps some would say spoilt for choice.
But what is the future likely to hold for it and how sustainable is it? By this I do not mean demand for online sububscription porn will collapse but I cannot see the boon continuing long term.
I think the market is oversaturated and that will have the effect of driving down prices overall-even for the bigger more popular accounts. A not insignificant minority of Onlyfans stars do exceptionally well out of it making big money, and the hope and fantasy this represents to others in part is driving people to start an Onlyfans account.
I sense what economists call a market adjustment or market correction coming- not were the party is over but more of a case of the party gets smaller with fewer drinks and treats floating around.

Then again it could continue like this for years yet. But the amount of people signing up for Onlyfans and others makes me think something big is going to change inevitably.
Are my instincts right?
Thoughts please!

Due to inflation I think the of creators are seeing a major dip in their sales that’s why they are opting for more Ppv content. On that same note some creators are getting greedy and lazy so the make their content expensive and do the bare minimum while advertising that they are pushing their boundaries “ which is never true”.

I think ppl are starting to get tired with paying for more and getting less and are starting to to resub, I think this is a great opportunity to the studios to make a comeback. The only thing is they have to start changing their formula on the comet they reals because studio porn can be quite repetitive.

Good points made well.

So Would you say that when the cost of living crisis and High inflation is over, and both are likely to have a long tail in the UK at least, that things will return to normal or do you think the mindset of customers is likely to shift long term and thus those taking the p*** of their customers will have to both adjust to maintain their customer base and lower their expectations of what they can earn on Onlyfans compared to its long initial golden era which does seem to be drawing to a close.

Because there are virtually no barriers to entry to being a creator or star on Onlyfans and anyone who wants to can give it a try, oversaturation was inevitable. To my mind oversaturation is another key factor bringing down prices. There is literally new serious competition every day.

The last couple of months.
A combination of that and the cost of living crisis likely to hit their wallets. But I'm not sure there is anyway out because I guess creators would argue they lose money if their videos can be downloaded and possibly redistributed.

How long has that been in place?
In May, OnlyFans randomly turned DRM on for almost every account, without notifying the content creators. DRM makes the videos stream really badly. Some creators, when notified about this, have been willing to turn it off. It's just a setting in their control panel. Many creators, however, have not been willing to turn it off. I'm dropping all creators who don't turn it off, because I can't view the videos properly with it on.

Thanks for the detailed reply.I am still weighing up signing up to Onlyfans and subscribing to 5 accounts.I am still having an internal debate which 5 they should be.Does Onlyfans work just as well on a mobile as it does a laptop or PC?
