Will the 'Onlyfans ' bubble ever burst?

I've never used it on a mobile phone.

That said, most websites don't work as well on mobile phones, and OF is especially video/image intense, so I'd imagine it's not great on a mobile phone. I use a desktop computer.
How many accounts do you subscribe too please if you dont mind me asking?

When I say bubble burst I don't mean that the company will or could collapse but that the financial cake for creators will be cut into smaller and smaller slices aa more and more creators enter the field. There could be so much competition that there will be fewer and fewer people making the big earnings on the platform?

In my opinion, it won’t be inflation that kills OF. The monthly cost to subscribe is usually how much you’d spend on coffee/breakfast in a day. For me, it’s the attitude of creators. A lot of the male creators overpromise and totally under deliver. I used to give them a chance and renew in the hope that they’d improve. These days, I will un-sub after one broken promise. Have been taken for a ride one too many times.

I also think male creators tease way too much with no intention of revealing, or they sell PPVs for astronomical prices (e.g $50 for a bad quality grainy video). They also show way too many bum pics or unidentifiable close up dick pics.

I think OF is such a great platform and creators can manage their own income. But these “quick bucks” get to creators’ heads too quickly, and sad to say, they are the ones who are killing their own industry. I hope I’m wrong, because I do enjoy OF.

I totally agree, it’s cheaper to do a monthly subscription to a porn studio and have unlimited access to there content and much better quality and performances. Honestly, OF is not worth it.

I agree... porn studios are usually $30, and you get the entire archive/library of content. OF is usually $15, so if you buy a $15 PPV, that’ll make $30.

The other damaging factor to OF is when they outsource the chat. Part of the original charm was having direct access to the creator for an authentic chat. Most creators these days use outsourced “chatters” who use overly sweet language, and all they want to do is sell PPV so they get their commission/sales target. It’s so unauthentic now...

Lastly, it’s such a turn off when they describe a PPV that is completely different from the description. Tayo ricci is a creator who goes out of his way to write a completely inaccurate PPV description. He has no qualms to deceive. There are many other creators who are the same.

I genuinely hope the industry corrects itself and creators realise their customers (the audience) are smarting up.

So in a nutshell you would say hubris and arrogance will be the likely downfall or bubble bursted of this phenomenon?
I do wonder also how much of the analogy or metaphor of the dotcom bubble or California gold rush is to the Onlyfans/Justforfans etc situation?.
In the sense that we are just emerging from the heady good peak era of Onlyfans and the big bucks gold rush is over? What goes up must come down etc
All from the performers or creators perspective. I realise the owners will likely still continue to do well.

Outsourced chat??!! wow that really is a new level of inauthentic for a service that makes heavy emphasis of it being personal.

I think much of it will morph into a simulacrum of studio porn circa 2010. It already has in some ways. So much resembles NextDoor Studios when they had Cody Cummings, Marcus Mojo, Rod Daily, Samuel O'Toole, etc individual sites. There's individuals people will like and want to subscribe directly, but they're part of a network. However, instead of a visible studio forming the network, it's the behind the scenes management and chatters that these guys use to answer chats and schedule posts that creates a network. Also, we have more dedicated camera men than when OF began.

I think niche content (cruising, glory holes, etc) will be stable, it's what Xtube used to be at one time.

Models who tease and titillate will either have to be honest about what they show, push the boundaries, or they'll wither and retreat to IG. So many people are sick of overpaying for photos and PPVs that don't live up to the hype.

A very thoughtful post.

Do you think with Onlyfans etc becoming more competitive that this will result in a market correction either/ or of creators having to lower their prices and/or adjusting their expectations about how much they will earn to something less stratospheric?
So many accounts at the moment seem to be permanently offering a discount. Creators referring to it as a discount ie temporary offer rather than accepting it as a permanently lower price is rather funny and strange!

I believe they're already accounting for a correction in the market and making personal adjustments based on whatever declining metrics they're seeing behind the scenes. It's typical that porn use is up during a recession, which is why we saw such a boom over the course of the pandemic. (It's also why SeanCody, CorbinFisher, RandyBlue, and others were at their peak in 2006ish-2013ish.) Now that we're in a very low unemployment environment, a reduction in porn subscribers should have been expected.

Many of the smarter performers, who were capable of saving or were particularly lucrative, have created a portfolio with diversified investments and truly made hay while the sun shined. At least that's what I see on performers' YouTube and TikTok when asked about how much they make and other financial questions. I think creators offering continuing discounts have accepted the lower price point for new or savvy returning subscribers, but I think they're likely weaponizing (that may be too dramatic a word?) the discount subscriptions in order to get some automatic renewals on the hook for the higher rate. So many people are forgetful about what they're subscribed to and for how much until they see the charge come through.

Yep. I experienced outsourced chat on Oliver Flynn's OF site. When I confronted this person that they were not actually Oliver Flynn they went silent. Total b.s.

I agree with you 100%. I have forgotten myself in the past and was subjected to a high automatic renewal fee. You see many of them always harping about "special releases" only for those with their renewal turned on. These days, when I subscribe to a site I immediately go in and cancel auto-renewal.

Actually, I don't think OF will go away, but perhaps male content creators (especially the gay baiting ones). There doesn't seem to be an issue with female creators for gay guys, because they show what they say they will show and for some reason, they seem far more creative with their content. It's the "b-list straight IG famous" male models who claim you will see this and that when you sub, and when you do, it's all just IG type content. Unless these creators step up to the mark or deliver the content they say they will, my view is that the male content creators will start to see a decline. I for one am happy to pay to subscribe, but I am actually finding it difficult to find an honest content creator (who is not a porn star) who updates frequently in a variety of content (as opposed to repeated bum shots or close up dick pics, or endless teasing shots).

Onlyfans gay pornstar Derek Allen sparks a twitter discussion about Onlyfans after complaining he and other creators have seen their subscriber numbers drop due to among other things oversaturation of the market.

The oversaturation is illustrated by the news this week of Onlyfans record profits and a huge boost in the number of subscribers and Creators-leaving on average the majority on the platform making little.

https://twitter.com/TrendVolume/status/1695180929080185306

The numbers are quite stark.More than 1 million new creators in the past year

Users up 27% to to 238m

Creators up by 47% to 3.1m

I've been working with OF content creators for a few years, and it's true that the market is saturated, but I don't see many signs of a collapse. Although it could be reflected in greater competitiveness for the benefit of consumers. It is increasingly recurring to see people dabbling in the platform, and what I could see in the last few months was a small trend for higher charges and access to much of the content. By this I mean Tallfitjake offering to pick a couple of his videos to send you for free, Steve Rickz upping his subscription but offering all of his videos at no extra cost. In general, every time I see more profiles with the "NO PPV". On the other hand, cases like Draconblue or Gattouz0, straights with a majority of gay followers, show that it is profitable to upload a lot of content without the need for additional payments. However, the truth is that custom content is the biggest income for many content creators, and paying for subscriptions is more of a fixed income. Regarding quality, those who produce bad or misleading content, but are attractive, will continue to generate income. I'm not saying that this is the case with Reno Gold, but we all know that he doesn't need to fuck on cameras to earn more than a million a year, I still remember the hundreds of criticisms he received for being a "provocateur" but that didn't decrease his bank account . Regarding the content leak, I am still surprised by the ingenuity and ability for this, honestly at first it was annoying but it is unavoidable in many cases. Another topic that caught my attention is the idea of promoting work in OF, I recently saw a video of BlondiePaul talking about the success story of a guy who recently is collaborating with them (the former Belami models) and months before Themazonblaze announcing his academy to train content creators. I love this strategy , let's keep saturating the market... Finally, about the future of OF, I hope the oversaturation of the market will be beneficial for consumers and those of us who work for content creators (no guys, we don't get paid well ), what you can be sure of is that OF profiles will continue to appear because although in some countries the charge for videos or subscription is relatively little, in other European (east) countries and especially LATAM earning in dollars is very profitable.

What kind and range of material gets asked for in private custom videos?
For instance could I request said performer, say Alpha James or Pboy squat naked in semi public spaces or film themselves naked trampolining for money? Or could I even request that two unlikely collobrators film themselves having sex and it be for my eyes only? How does the custom video set up work please?
