It definitely is not allowed for Muslims . Turkish , Syrian, Lebanese and Moroccan Muslims tend to be extremely liberal & do what they want in a religious context . And so do I. But setting the holy part aside, you can put other rethorical arguments with something similar and someone would still disagree. "Oh it's just a book" yeah but it's a holy one, you can pick other religion's (Christian, Buddha, you named it) and do something disrespectful to them, granted you will get attacked back. "Oh it's just a painting" I'm sure the climate activists that got arrested in Germany for vandalism were thinking the same.

Who gives a fuck if its a holy one. The people who believe they should be able to kill people due to someone expressing their freedom of speech are the ones who should be punished if they act on it. You don't get to harm people because they burned a book that just happened to hold words of your fairytale in it. And make no mistake, its a fucking fairytale. You want to hold it in high regard, fine. Literally no one else should be made to hold it in the same unless they want to. You don't get to force your belief system on other people. Not in this day and age.
Society needs to stop taking a peaceful approach to people who would do harm for not showing reverence to someone else's religion. If you don't stand up for freedom of speech, you just might lose it.
