I highly doubt he’s homophobic considering he has gay friends and is an open Democrat. Some gay people seriously need to reassess what they deem to be homophobia.

if someone doesn’t care about another persons’ sexual orientation, they’re very likely not homophobic. I understand that biases and prejudices can exist regardless of that, but EVERYONE has bias. It’s part of being human.

In any case, as a gay man I KNOW there are gay people who think anything other than affirmation and validation is homophobia, but no, that’s just not the case.
