I’m not sure about that. Like maybe I’m remembering wrong but i felt like Leo was quite pushy and refused to respect boundaries. Like when Dylan makes it clear that he’s not comfortable talking about his family and Leo pushes on repeatedly despite that.

Yes, there were a couple of times when Leo kept asking about his family. I think that's because Leo knows what happened to Dylan in the past and it probably has something to do with them. Leo encouraged Dylan to reach out to his family. Whereas Samuel's main motivation is to get Dylan to come out when he's not ready.

The morning after at breakfast with Michael and that girl, it probably didn't go as bad as Dylan thought it would, but on some level, it has already changed the relationship between them to the point where he is covering himself up in the showers, when Dylan is present, and he's never done that before.

The reason why people don't like Samuel is because the story is in Dylan's POV. We can't really read it from his perspective, therefore it does make Samuel seems sort of selfish. No one is perfect, Samuel have also said wrong things here and there. Still, he's nowhere near as awful as Michael or even Dylan.

I'm only thinking now: in how far is Dylan's perspective on Samuel (and therefore ours) dictated by Michael's influence on Dylan? Dylan's mind is twisting everything and we know Michael thinks Samuel is "garbage".

I keep saying this and I know you guys are tired of hearing it, but the reason I don't like Samuel is because he fucked Dylan's roommate Corey and after they got caught, he didn't stick around to talk about it, he fled. Dylan may be a difficult person but throughout all of his one-night stands, he never once tried to hide them from anyone.

Well stated ---I agree with you concerning Samuel. He knows hot to play Dylan. He never really talks to Dylan and attempt to help him understand what he is going through and we have to remember Dylan had a previous breakdown that Michael helped him through. I think Samuel is jealous of Michael and wants him out of the way so he can keep Dylan away from everyone. I think Samuel is not a good person and I think Dylan with all issues really is.
