I believe a lot of male gym goers assume those who are nicely muscled must be taking testosterone. It gives some of them a reason to feel better about themselves, just like some women assume that those with better figures must have had body work done.

Of course, some guys do juice, thinking it is a shortcut to build muscles bigger and faster. At my small town gym, perhaps 10% (mostly younger) guys try it (I hear some of them talking about it in the locker room). But most guys who work out religiously and keep pushing themselves feel good about what they have accomplished and how they've maintained themselves in a healthy, natural and sustainable way.

In reality I don't think there are nearly as many guys 'juicing' as many might think. I ran into an 18 year old at the gym yesterday who was admiring me. He asked if I was on "HRT". I had no idea what he was talking about and he told me that was 'hormone replacement therapy'. I took his question as a compliment, thanked him and let him know that no, I had just been working out, off and mostly on, for almost 30 years. He was amazed. It saddened me to think that he assumed you couldn't build a nice physique without taking hormones. But hopefully he now has an example of how good a 63 year old can look without cheating.

a friend of mine is a famous gay porn star. He, as a mature man, has in incredible juiced body and he makes no bones about it. He has told me that the percent of men taking at the gym is far more than people think. Basically, he said if the muscles of the body show through clothes, they are likely using something. Also, the tops of the shoulders are pretty hard to get large without it. No judgment at all. I love huge guys. In my particular gym I’d say 75% use something and these are not massive guys but ripped in their look.

Wow b3ar - what an amazing physique on you! You are an inspiration to many, especially since you have taken the natural route to build muscles!
I appreciate that compliment, man. It's taken some time and lots of eating, but overall I feel it's worth it. Don't get me wrong... I've entertained the ida of PEDs but I just don't want to risk it. I adopted this life style to better my body, not harm it.
But to answer OP's question, I'd say that quite a few people are using PED's now that it's become easier to obtain, but we can't really know for sure since it's hushed up.

Depends on the country...in the UK MORE guys are juicing than you'd think

Don't think it's that common tbh. In the US, for example, it's maybe about 2% of the overall male population. Gym goers/athletes it's of course more common, but maybe low-double-digit %.

Only at serious lifter gyms is it normal.

In your opinion ofc. Here in LA I'm guessing a good 50% of consistent gym goers juice or are on TRT or HCG therapy or something.
My guess.. 75%. Everyone I know uses gear to some exent [guys, the women far less] in LA I would guess its even higher. It's more readily available now, however the bigger issue is what they use, dosage and reasons.
I never deny gear use, but say that a person needs to make educated decisions what they are using, not just copy someone's cycle. Thinking it's an easy road to huge gains will be very disappointing.

Another issue, esp with black market suppliers, quality and possible fakes.
I found this a lot, even right now I have gear that is not what its labeled as.. maybe not all fake, but very underdosed, so it's a risk to consider when buying..
