They take any credit card that is associated with a major credit card company which at this point is most of them in North America. I can't speak for elsewhere.

American debit cards can function as debit cards (essentially direct transfer from the cardholder's bank to the company's bank) and as credit cards (a different kind of transfer faciliated by a credit card company like Visa/MasterCard/American Express).

A lot of debit cards outside of the US don't do that.

OF requires that your card be backed by one of those companies, which US cards are but others often aren't.
