Asians, both far East and south Asian, have largely been sold an assimilationist, racist pathway to acceptance in the west. I live in Seattle and the Asians here can be just as (or more) racist than white people. It’s sad honestly.

I personally get annoyed when I state that my preference is other Black men and Indian men want to suddenly "be Black", but call me racist when I point out that they're not Black.

Indian people can be way darker than Black people and if you look into the history there are African roots, but they are higher on the minority totem pole than us and are despicable to darker-skinned Indians(especially Dravidians).

So when they suddenly want to claim Blackness it puts a bad taste in my mouth because at best Indians are "racially ambiguous sometimes with dark skin". Their hair texture automatically elevates them and their features aren't very West African.

I also have seen dark-skinned Asians from places such as Singapore, identify as Black, but this is all after the Black Lives Matters protests. I don't tell anyone how to identify, but keep it consistent. Don't say you're Brown, but when there aren't any white guys and there's an average looking Black guy, now suddenly you're Black.

I don't get to play around with my race and I don't appreciate others mocking me to get laid.

I listen to like 10 afromerican hosted podcasts they are the ONLY ones doing nonstop black vs white jokes

To your other points, It’s also no coincidence that those other minority groups you mentioned deal heavily with colorism, that is often times linked to class (or caste). Lots of immigrants just don’t associate blackness in general with upward mobility. The depressing part is they’re not necessarily wrong but that thinking is what makes this system self perpetuating. I’d like to take comfort in the idea that at least black men got each other but we know that’s not even necessarily true. It’s rough out here.
