He’s seemed out of it all year. I remember there was this one Instagram live he had done a few months ago, right around some single coming out. He was practically begging people to go listen to the song. At one point it even sounded like he was complaining about his career not being bigger. This was peppered with terrible acoustic performances. Honestly, gave me the same vibes as the early stages of Aaron Carter’s descent…
I never listened to any of his music, but I can’t blame Austin entirely. As you can see with all of these strikes going on, things are changing and the music industry has been somewhat on a decline - especially with chatGPT and other stuff. Also, it’s becoming more and more common to hear about these artist in horrible 360 deals!
Also, you mentioned Aaron Carter, I actually met him in 2016! However, Aaron’s downfall I blame a lot of it on his parents! Aaron, being a kid, would have no clue what taxes are and so you would think his parents would’ve been taking care of that for him… WRONG! By the time Aaron wanted to take a break and go live his life, not only did he realize the pot was nearly empty, but how much money he owed in taxes, and sadly, I am seeing/hearing this more and more! So that + social media is what ruined A/C and recall that social media was the wild wild west and “cyber bullying” didn’t become a thing until like later on. Folks claim that Justin Bieber “replaced” Aaron Carter and I disagree! I would instead phrase it as A/C passed the torch down to J/B, because if you think about it, all the 90’s and early 2000’s boy pop stars were starting to wind down and deal with all of the horrible deals they were given and Justin Bieber was a perfect match to keep the 2000’s pop era going a little while longer!
Now, as for Austin Mahone, he is a good looking individual and so I can easily see him doing some modeling and possibly venture into like commercial work (whenever Hollywood returns to normal)
I personally think that, while Austin is a talented individual, I get the feeling he is dodging a major bullet, as the music industry is cold, shady, and not what it appears to be
