I actually liked the way the show cast all different types of gay men. It was very inclusive. And maybe they didn't have a 2nd season of I Kissed A Boy because they have aired I Kissed A Girl instead.

UK has plenty of conventionally good looking people. I'm glad you bought up reality tv because look up any reality tv show from the early 00's when the reality tv period was popular the casts were attractive. Especially when its geares to towards late teens to early 20's.

Even now love island the people that go on there attractive even you dont think they're not as attractive as the people in the US they're still hot

They did actually say last year because they were doing a girl version they wouldn’t do a boy one. They wanted to tick both boxes for gays and lesbians.

There was never going to be a second season this year. It literally said at the end of last year's reunion they would be doing I Kissed A Girl this year instead. Then next year it'll be the boys again, which is casting now, as others have said.

The show not getting huge ratings has nothing to do with how attractive or unattractive the cast was. It was a gay show on a smaller channel for the LGBT community. It naturally was never going to get the numbers things like Love Island would because it was made for a smaller audience.

It got above average views for the type of show and as I recall the BBC were very pleased with the ratings. Before series 1 finished they announced they would do a lesbian version of the show and confirmed that they wouldn’t do another series of I kissed a boy until the following year. They have now announced series 2 which will air next year. So far everything they are doing is what’s been said.

But then there wouldn't have been 'I Kissed A Girl', if I.K.A.B was a flop they wouldn't have made I Kissed A Girl.

I think we all like to say stuff like this but in reality it's the complete opposite. Take this thread for example matty is the guy that people have enquired about. No has asked about Kailum, ross, jake, bobski. Guys like ollie and dan its been more from a gossip point of view then ohh my gosh they're so HOT. I found ceejay really cute he had a nice bum but I know he's not most people's cup of tea.

Facts are the majority of the guys that were casted on the first season were not attractive. And to prove my point once Matty was introduced everyone started to take more of an interest because susprise susprise he was hot.

As someone from the US I can assure you the cast would NOT have looked liked that filmed here. They would have pushed to have pocs but it would have been one or two. Maybe one person that wouldn’t be considered fit but that would be it. Everyone would be white or white passing/“exotic”

I said they wouldn’t get casted in the US because they wouldn’t be based on how they cast our reality shows. rarely would you see an every day attractive person. Everyone is model. you can be conventionally attractive without being drop dead gorgeous.
