One interesting thing in the Live was someone asked if Jed was gay or bi, and Ben replied, “I’m bi, baby,” or something like that instead of HE’S bi (“he” being Jed). Probably just inartfully worded, but still had me like... 
It was a real sweet conversation. You could see these guys had real chemistry and will probably be friends for a long time. They talked about what might have been for Ben and Jed had the show continued. I’m mad we won’t ever get to see it.

Nope, pretty clear that
he is being set up as a new love interest for the lead, who is a woman and who broke up with her main love interest at the end of the second season.
That being said the show does have some lovely m/m content from some other cute actors.
