Brenton Thwaites

can we maybe only post if it's an actual post? so we don't get notifications for random chats, then get all excited thinking its actual content, only to read people's boring opinions? thank you :)
That’s sadly not how a forum works. The only suggestion I can give to you is unwatch the thread or deal with it. You don’t really have a lot of options sadly.

There's supposed to be a setting to only get notified if there is new media added to a thread, instead of all posts. Not sure if it is still available.

I love how thick he’s gotten, his gut is literally rolling over his board shorts here. His ass is even more fat now than before, I hope he flaunts it even more in the future. Hopefully he shaves sometime in the future so we can see his pretty face again with these new assets, never thought he’d look so good in fatherhood .

Different types of roles, too.

What do you mean? Like getting casted for new types of characters? Cause that would be great, I would love him to make this a more permanent change! Before he was a more type casted twunk, hot Australian actor that couldn’t really break out in Hollywood, but him now could be a whole new thing. Gives off ex-jock vibes, and especially cause he’s still so handsome it works so well . I hope it’s a part of his role as Night Wing in Titans and they bring it up on screen, but unlike Chris Hemsworth as Fat Thor, he won’t need a fat suit ;)

Yup. Part of it is the natural evoluation of an actor as he ages, though he gets much more longevity in alpha male lead roles than actresses do as romantic female leads. Brenton is very, very pretty. He could still do young prettyboy twunk roles, but it will get harder and harder to pull off.

Facial hair and the extra pounds allows him to move into the more established male lead. He is not the beach boy lover anymore, he is action star, final guy in a horror film, handsome thriller lead. The heavier he becomes, the more easily transition between a buffet of archetypes. He has gained wieght, but he can also lose it. Matt Damon is a good example.

Honestly, it kinda sucks to say it, but Hollywood gave him plenty of chances and he never showed he had the necessary charisma, gravitas or comedic chops to be a leading man. That said, I think his mistake (which is the same mistake that a lot of actors like him have made) was trying to become an action hero type of star. He would've made BIG had he tried to get in on the romantic comedy/romance game.

That is true. I have not seen a ton of his stuff. He was pretty much a gorgeous face in Malificent, acting was not what he was there to do.

I’m so sad for Brenton and i hope he has something else lined up, but this show really was just another CW production being streamed by HBOMax. The quality just isn’t present and I’m not surprised by this news

He's adorable, but all this. I remember him in Mike Flanagan's early horror hit Oculus. He was clearly ill at ease delivering Flangan's typical monologues and seemed like a studio pick. Flanagan reuses actors quite often but as his star has risen he's never used Brenton Thwaites again. Nice guy, amazing body but limited wheelhouse.

This sums him up perfectly. Time and time again he falls short but he’s handsome. I think he should take on lighter films, because his performance in Gods of Egypt (despite the flaws of the movie) was enjoyable. So something like that.
