Brenton Thwaites

I think that this season was not planned to have a lot of nudity like in past seasons, just because it was the last one, they cut the only possible gay sex scene (they never did something like that with straight couples) and the scene with brother blood was not well focused, nothing like Alan's scene at the pool, maybe they wanted to focus for the first time on the plot.

I can't believe he didn't even wake up shirtless in bed.
Recent photos of Brenton have shown that he's actually put on some weight. So since he's probably not sporting a Hollywood approved six-pack that these producers keep pushing on the world, they decided to cover him up - hence the lack of shirtlessness. I actually think Brenton is sexier with his dad bod, but God forbid we normalize men who enjoy eating more than exercising and look happily plump instead of uncomfortably fit.

Exactly what I was saying a few pages back, Hollywood and its shitty ass standard for hardcore marvel level toned abs is likely the main resason why Brenton is being covered up coz we all know he’s not against nudity. He’s put on some weight and is chunkier now and he’s hot as fuck, but those assholes wouldn’t care unless he fits the mould.

Yeah - just watching the new episodes. Brenton looks hot as fuck - nice body and he'd look great shirtless still!

Yeah, this series used to love showing off his body more when he was a bit leaner, so I have no doubt it’s why he was pajama’d in bed and then tanktop-undershirted with the polo. But I can see production’s side of it. While some might find a dad-bod sexy on Brenton, it wouldn’t look right for such an athletic fighter as Dick Grayson is supposed to be.

As for Tim/Bernard, I was actually happy we got to see them hungrily making out and then Tim shirtless in bed the morning after. Would I like to see more gay sex? Absolutely. But I realize I am not like most of this series’ audience.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that while, yes, Brenton looks good even with a "dad bod" he's still playing one of the most ripped and athletic superheroes there are and should' ve put in the effort to look the part.

A fair counterpoint for sure. Brenton is obviously not a gym freak and the role of Dick Grayson/Nightwing kinda demands that I agree.

What role doesn't? That's what I meant earlier when I said that Hollywood keeps pushing this very specific image onto the world that every man and woman must look. And they do so by creating characters with those specific physiques and hiring actors who fit the look of those characters. What's wrong with having a superhero look like a regular guy? Lol. Isn't that the point? That any guy can be a hero? Let's also not forget that most superheroes have secret identities to protect their loved ones from being targeted by their enemies. And I don't know about you, but I'd be much less suspicious of the guy with a bubble belly spending his nights fighting crime and battling monsters than I would the massively bulk news columnist with the exact same features as Superman, but he can't be Superman because he wears glasses and there's no way anyone who doesn't have 20/20 vision can be the unconquerable Man of Steel. :expressionless:

Superheroes are and always have been wish fulfillment fantasies. Realism is the last thing they should concern themselves with. Nobody wants to see a regular person as a superhero. We want to see hot people with killer bodies in tight spandex.

Also Dick/ Nightwing is known for being an acrobat. The involves a certain level of physique and conditioning for anyone that’s not superhuman. So yea, daddy duties or not, Brendan needs to look like someone agile enough to do the things Nightwing can do.

Don’t get me wrong I agree with you, I’m just hypothesizing what the execs expect from the role which could be a factor why he’s being covered up in every single scene even when it doesn’t make sense for him to be
