He should have had an affair with Leanne and/or Toyah (plus other women in the street). Or they could have made his character gay instead (which would have been a much more valid reason for why Leanne didn’t ditch Nick and jump ship over to Rowan), then he could have seduced Todd (who is single), and conned some money out of him whilst he was “under the spell” of an infatuation with the dishy Rowan.
