Thinking back fondly of seeing my first naked guy in a semi-open shower at a campground. Does anyone know of any campgrounds in northern california that are set up that way? Or in the rest of the US?

Sure, if you can behave yourself there is a family style nudist camp one of the best in the usa in wilton, ca. Semi open group shower by the indoor pool, plus 3 outdoor pools, lake, great facilities. Huge weekend events or quiet laid back mostly retired folk in weekdays. If u want to see naked guys, and you are kind enough to allow grandma and fat aunt sue to also enjoy life and be a kid again, then go enjoy.
