That's hideous..

Outrigger front wheels and fenders appealed to many at that time and as shown well into the 50's by Citroen were a very desirable engineering/design device. Such cars were incredibly stable on curves at speed, particularly with traction avant. Admittedly they were extremely wide up front but very spacious inside, even in the back. I loved them in the 50's and would love to have one now.

1937 Cord 810

As a young boy I saw these fast Cords speeding and climbing mountains just like cars of today and they were beautiful and luxurious, albeit a rich man's car of the day.

There is one of these that I see occasionally driving around - faded green paint, a little worn around the edges - and it’s absolutely brilliant. The first time I saw it my mind was blown, like is that a daily driver Cord? There’s an old guy just drives it like a normal car. I haven’t been able to snap a picture yet because of driving.

They are at least 80 years old now, hard to think of using one for daily driving. One in good shape brings a small fortune at auction. It would be a real coup to get this one to drive for yourself.

I am sure that he knows what he has and how valuable it is. He just likes to drive it - and that is what it was built for.
