I just listened to my first Cardi B song, WAP.

It is an OK song, but it is just Cardi B and some other woman talking about how good they are at sex. The title WAP is an acronym for "wet ass pussy", so I knew what I was getting into when I clicked on the video. I'm not shocked by the content of the song, but my reaction to it.

The song has many things that I like, a lot of sex talk and a few instances where the women say they only want men with big dicks, however I found myself rolling my eyes instead of being turned on. After the song ended I couldn't help thinking that the women in the song were probably average in bed at best. It was like a guy who won't shut up about his big dick. You know that behind all that boasting, is just an average sized guy or maybe even a guy with a small dick. Hung studs don't need to declare to the world that they're hung. They let their bulges do the talking. I think it is the same with women who have WAPs, they don't need to boast.

Am I off base? Is this just sour grapes? What do you think of women who boast about their sexual ability?

I love Megan Thee Stallion so much. I just hate how grown men on twitter were saying that Megan and Cardi are not good role models for young girls. It’s not their job to be role models for younger girls. Lmfao next.

It isn't her job, but that is kinda the price of fame in America. When you're any kind of successbpeople will look to as an example of what they should be doing.

Sex sell. Cardi B use that to get your attention, and probably it's her publisher that promote that idea, because her song have no content she must do whatever the cost to get your attention.

Keep in mind that the reaction of bragging about something hide the desire to have that bragging. Meaning they often don't have what they are bragging about.

I know of some asexual people that do sex talk, and porn. They do a distinction between their intimacy life and their business life.

What worries me is when people don't do this distinction, like children who take this as reality.

You need to adjust your reality, your sexual life is based on intimacy and trust. Cardi B is singing the opposite, that alone should ring you some bells.

Everyone is seeking validation, respect, intimacy, love... Men and women alike. bragging is only a form of getting attention to feed that void. And no sexual act or intimacy is the same. Using sexual act to define yourself and brag about it is in someway a cry for help to seek validation and intimacy in anyway possible.

My point of view.

Doesn't mean that it's immoral to use that to give yourself pleasure. Nor showing the marvel of the woman body shouldn't be.
I'm just saying that it's missing the foundation to be happy in your sexual act. And you do want to be happy in your sexual life. Do you ?

So video clip sell song, it's make her point, song are also content of a message. For that, her message miss some depth, you choose what you listen.

All Cardi B and Megan are doing is what every male rapper has done since the 90s.

They're saying if men can say these same things about themselves and the bitches they fuck then so can women. Its pretty damn simple

You don't find that kind of sexual bragging in rap to be a little silly?

I love the song and I lobe when anyone owns their sexuality, so many times other people wanna tell us how to please them. Taking charge and demanding how u want it is something amazing. I have a podcast and we talk about so many different things, sex is a big topic.

when i first saw it after the uproar on the internet about it, i just ended the video with a "meh"... the song really doesn't do anything for me. maybe i'm a bit desensitized to it since nobody can really sell "sex" to me being as i've been around all kinds of sex throughout my lifetime thus far. it's basically a high-cost-production video with a bunch of thicc ladies in it showing some skin. you can get the same effect by searching "thicc ladies" on youtube as well.

i personally have zero issues with women bragging about whatever assets they have. it is what it is and i'm sure they're working an angle that will bring the most bang for buck. if you don't like it then just don't watch it.

it must be doing something since it was at 85M views as of my reply here...

Men don't get policed for owning their sexuality the way women do. All the concern trolling that now women look as bad as men ignores the fact that men don't look bad in our society for saying what they like sexually and any calling out they get doesn't negate the privilege straight men have to not be called sluts or over-sexed.
