In the episode of 'MASH" Alda's character, "Hawkeye" is at first seen walking around in a mine field just outside the military base. He is wearing nothing but a red bathrobe, and he sits down in a lawn chair, spreading his legs apart. For a brief moment, it is possible to see his cock and balls--albeit only from a distance--under the robe. A little later in the scene, however, he is joined by some of the other soldiers to inspect a mine and there is a closer view of his ( rather average size ) cock as he bends down to look at the mine.

I am wondering why a show in the 1970s would have an actor perform in a scene without underwear? I think the photo is AI. There is not a reason for the producers to tell a story for the actor to be without underwear. If I'm wrong ( producers of shows had actors without clothing even though the lack of clothing did not explain the character's actions), I'm sure someone will clarify the background information.

movies are shot for the big screen, in the 80s, vhs were new and movies shot for the big screen sometimes, once on vhs and fit for a TV screen, showed more or less things than in the movie...
Oh yeah fair point. Film quality wasn’t as good and they probably didn’t for-see people pausing at a specific time. Still wonder why actors at the time didn’t do things like put on a nude-color jock strap to “protect their decency” while filming.
