Chest hair: like or dislike?

I used to be quite hairy ALL over but when I started competing in bodybuilding I had to shave my whole body and my wife really liked it to the point that she encouraged me to continue shaving it. This past summer I let it grow out for the first time in some 15 years and it really felt weird to have so much hair. I found myself playing with it a lot (LOL) but really didn't like it that much myself after awhile. Although I don't like the upkeep I think I have much more muscular definition without hair... ok, a little vain.... but I guess we've both grown accustomed to the smooth feel of my body. To each their own.

One woman suggested it to me in a roundabout way, that a guy friend of hers shaves his chest hair. Then she paused for my reaction. I emitted something between a "pffft" and a guffaw. She never brought it up again.

Brilliant. That had me chuckling!

Um...there are actually people so fucking petty that they insist their partner shaves x, y, z...and by insist the OP actually says "pleads"

/sigh...

fad?

i see it as part of a much bigger fashion picture.
the sensitisation of bodies.
shave off all hair,
cut knobs only, please,
trim those labs perhaps,
and you might want to bleach your anus too.

transform us into blow up dolls.

trends come and go. for my personal tastes, i'll be glad when this one goes...even more glad than i'll be when ug boots and crocs die.

ps. your theory is reason enough for me to quit shaving completely. bring on the fur!

Annoys me too. I think I'm the only 22 year old who feels this way sometimes. My body is my body, and unless the person who asks is very dear to me, I ain't going to change the way I am. I like it how I am now.

like i said...i prefer it, but i would absolutely never ask. it's your body, like you said, and you do what you want with it. the only way i would ever mention my preference to a guy i was with and had been intimate with, is if he specifically asked me.

other than that, i think it's quite petty to demand it of someone.

i don't mind chest hair and i never have. i used to think i would when i was younger. but i like it because it's how men are supposed to be. as long as a man isn't wearing a sweater, then i'm ok with a fuzzy chest.

happy trails are also sexy. i love em. it's such a tease to me because it's pointing down to the crotch... like, "hey, come have look what's down here! you're gonna love what you see!"

Ok this is the thing

On young guys I don't like it, a little is okay but a 20-25 year old should NOT look like Tom Selleck

On 30+ guys I kind of expect it and if they are shaved or waxed it doesn't look right.

Back hair - that should be kept under control IMHO on any age.

I was talking to a friend of mine awhile back and during our conversation he told me his new gf pleaded with him to get rid of his chest hair which he finally did to my surprise. However what really struck me was that he told me that several of his past girlfriends had asked him to do the same thing and he always refused until recently for his current squeeze.

What I find perplexing is that he doesn`t even have as much chest or body hair as I do and I don`t think I have that much either, so I`m wondering if this is a modern fad with younger women or wether this is really a general preference. What do the ladies of the forum have to say about this? What is your preference as far as body hair on a man is concerned?

Sorrrrrrrry Not A Fan Of Chest Hair :(
I Don't Think Anyone I Know Likes It Actually

Can take it or leave it, it's just hair. I love my man's chest, it's not very hairy just got some hairs, it's cool.

Well thought I posted in here before but guess not.

Personally I would not shave/wax whatever, my chest hair for a girl....unless shes Natalie Portman or something.

Check out my profile and tell me what you think ;D

And is there a difference between hair on the chest and the stomach?

For me, i don't care about my chest hair, I keep that in shape but never shaved it all away, but I hate hair on my stomach, except a little stripe from my stomach down.
