By "support" we mean mostly mainstream media. Of course social media will have some hate AND genuine rightful criticism mixed in as well as moderate support and downright simps as well. What did you expect? It all depends on where you look tbh. This thread alone contains a mix of all of those type of reactions I mentioned. You're characterization of the repsonse is pretty disingenuous

People here are ridiculous, so what if he somehow used his good looks and physique to get economically sound and stable, so what if he is banking from his coming out story, so what if he is given so much attention, so what if he hangs out now with other good looking gay guys, so what if people are supportive of him than others. It’s part of life, people will never be equal even given the same opportunity because we are all different. For those saying he is masculine, hunky type white gay: you are envious of him. Nothing is wrong with being masculine, nothing is wrong being white, nothing is wrong being hunky. And most definitely nothing is wrong for doing something that will feed you as by long as you are not hurting anybody. Is it correct for him to be casted as Bachelor before looking for a wife: probably yes, but I know there are married closeted gay guys who did it for convenience and pressure from family and beliefs.

I guess you know I'm being sarcastic, and I just try to poke a bit the hateful comments, and lots of these comments are just being hateful instead of critical. I just don't see the use of being hateful. No benefit for ourselves, nor for other people.

Things here are actually great, you know (well, not our economy; that's always in the gutter). But we got marriage equality YEARS before the US, then came gender identity laws, and last year abortion became legal nationwide (up to 14 weeks without reason), medicinal marijuana is legal nationwide and can be grown at home (and there are talks to legalize recreational marijuana).

He's not abusive. Stalking was abusive but it was a couple of isolated incidents. You can't say he's ABUSIVE without proving a pattern of behavior. Cassie has never said he was abusive DURING their relationship. It was only after they broke up that he lost it and for two months stalked her a couple of times and put a tracker on her car (it's also detailed in the filing).

Like I said before, it's not about racist. It's business. Netflix wants to make money. They aren't going to pick a random athlete with only 111K followers on Instagram. They're picking someone they know will attract many viewers (heck being a controversial pick could actually get them more viewers).

There should be frustration about a gay person getting a good business opportunity. You shouldn't have to put others down so the people you care about can get ahead. Everyone deserves an opportunity but that's not how business work.

Are you guys letting in American tourist yet? I need a break from some of my woke countrymen. As you can see, they’re complaining a lot nowadays. They’re also looting all the shopping districts. Because nothing cures oppression like a new pair of Nikes.
