Colton underwood- american football player

What an ugly thing to say. Sure, someone that thinks Colton is hot likely won't think that Jordan is, but Jordan is hardly "so unattractive" either.
I suppose it was harsh, but others were talking about his obvious filler, being a Perez Hilton lookalike, 38-looking-48, and all the rest. I know beauty is only skin deep, but surely we want to see Colton with an absolutely gorgeous jock type. It's his life to do with what he wants; it would just be nice to see him with a hot, hot number.

Obvi he's not going just for LOOKS, like most gays do! Not as shallow and lame as you'd expect a good-looking guy to be. Which is nice and refreshing.

This is the problem with so many men, gay or straight, this expectation that you should date the hottest guy or woman around; fuck it if they suck as a person. Women force straight men to have more realistic standards most of the time, but the gay community more often than not is undeterred in the unrealistic hunt.

I think he looks older but he’s not unattractive at all. Nice to see Colton is not obsessed with superficial things such as looks, makes him a lot more hotter to me.

watched his series.
You can tell he really need apporval from his dad and coach. Also Since he is looking for “father figure” from his coach. Probably at some point he has alittle crush with him as well.
That is why he has “daddy” issue and leaning towards older guy.
his dad is very attractive for older guy as well.

he is definitely an old soul wanted to build a family and stuff.
Great guy and enjoy watching him.

I think we're all disappointed that Colton would date someone so unattractive ...
... but surely we want to see Colton with an absolutely gorgeous jock type.
Who is all this "we" shit you keep talking about?
Some of us aren't as superficial as you clearly are.
I'd rather see Colton happy, instead of satisfying your shallow needs.

Well, his docu-series or whatever they're calling it! It's now out on Netflix.
What do you guys think of it?

Well, I don't frequent this thread! And I just came to see it on Netflix today! Besides, much of the "discussion" seems to be on his choice of partner rather than the series itself

my 2 cents, they're trying but kinda fail (though not fully). The cinematography is great. The coming out to the coach is a bit sloppy. I think the coach is worried that he might be a target of #MeToo because it's done on camera in public. Episode 6 is unnecessary if the protagonist is someone w/ less problematic past. Instead of talking about his problematic past, it would be better if the protagonist is someone w/ better past, so the docs can cover more important topics (e.g. historical figures like Marsha P. Johnson, current climates, LGBTQ in other countries, etc)

1. The cinematography is great.
2. It looks genuine and truly unscripted.
3. The coming out to the coach is a bit sloppy. I think the coach is worried that he might be a target of #MeToo because it's done on camera in public.
4. The Cody Alan's coming out party is very shallow, although the intention is quite good (to show there's different ways to live life as gays), but the execution is very poor. By the end of that episode, they show that either you're rich-party-gays or rich-suburban-gays.
5. They don't show more marginalized representation of LGBTQs. Only the people in the LGBTQ church. And even then, the main focus is still Colton.
6. Episode 6 is unnecessary if the protagonist is someone w/ less problematic past.
7. If the protagonist is someone w/ better past, the docs can cover more important topics (e.g. historical figures like Marsha P. Johnson, current climates, LGBTQ in other countries, etc), instead of talking about his problematic past.

I think an issue about him is that he monetized his 'straight' persona and now he's monetizing coming out. He was actually being blackmailed about being gay and this info about him was going to be exposed anyway---I mean, it's one thing to be confused about your sexuality, but its another thing to go on National Television and making money by lying about who you are. He says in his new show that he knew he was gay early on--so why become America's bachelor and date 30 women, knowing that you are gay. And how intrusive is it of him to have these private moments of coming out to his parents, filmed and have a crew watching you. Perhaps his parents might have had a more private response if the cameras weren't in their faces. This guy has no problem intruding on other people's lives to make a buck.

Exactly my thinking as I watched the series
