I think an issue about him is that he monetized his 'straight' persona and now he's monetizing coming out. He was actually being blackmailed about being gay and this info about him was going to be exposed anyway---I mean, it's one thing to be confused about your sexuality, but its another thing to go on National Television and making money by lying about who you are. He says in his new show that he knew he was gay early on--so why become America's bachelor and date 30 women, knowing that you are gay. And how intrusive is it of him to have these private moments of coming out to his parents, filmed and have a crew watching you. Perhaps his parents might have had a more private response if the cameras weren't in their faces. This guy has no problem intruding on other people's lives to make a buck.
