Agree that his body is nice. i think his best feature is his lips which are the right amount of pouty. My guess is as he matures he'll figure all this stuff out in a way that works for him. he's in that age range where he's still playing teens and stuff.

Not sure why your trying to call him out. He said "Settle for". Like how you might Prefer a Coke but will "Settle For" a Pepsi or some other beverage if Coke isn't an option. I'd settle for a hug too if that was an option. That would be lovely.
