Cooper Koch

He needs to do less interviews bc he comes off annoying. X is saying he has a gay accent. He mentioned wanting to pay Patric Bateman directed by Luca Guadagnino and X users said no and that he sounds too f@ggy. The criticism is coming from gay men.

In his interview he comes off like a west hollywood gay. He should carry himself how other it boys do like Austin Butler, Timothee Chalamet and Paul Mescal.

Respectfully, fuck no. Why should he change who he is just to please random people online? He’s a great actor, a successful model, and has no trouble getting work. He doesn’t need to worry about what others think. I think the way he talks/carries himself is part of his charm. lol

Its called showBUSINESS for a reason. It’s about playing the game. He clearly has high aspirations of being a leading man (film wise) and it comes with it certain expectations and building a brand image. He can be whoever he wants at home. I’m talking about media engagement and interviews.

I get what you’re saying, but being authentic is also part of building a strong brand. Audiences these days value realness, and trying too hard to fit an image can backfire. People connect with personalities that feel genuine, not ones that are overly curated. There are plenty of flamboyant gay men who have successful careers in Hollywood.

I get it, but he wants to play Patrick Bateman. A character straight guys are obsessed with. The film would bomb bc those straight men would no go to theater if he acts the way he does. Like how can he sell a film like that being so flamboyant on press tour ? He needs to sell the fantasy.

Its fine if he wants to be flamboyant but he needs to be realistic what film he can carry and how much HWood will is willing to finance a big budget theatrical film where he is the lead.

The character Patrick Bateman was created by an openly gay man named Bret Ellis and Bret said the character represents closeted gay men who struggle with their sexuality…so having an out gay actor play that role is pretty full circle and makes total sense. Lol

some people on twitter said he'd make a good patrick bateman and the interviewer asked him about it, cooper didn't mention it first. and he said several times that he wants to do more gay roles so I don't know where you got that from that he wants to be a leading man lolll

and I'm gonna ignore the part where you basically say he needs to change himself. so much for spending years crying for representation, no?

It's very hilarious you think most people care about this that much. :joy:

The average movie goer is not watching actor press tours & red carpet interviews, they have other shit to do. Most will not know who Cooper is beyond his Monsters role.

Regardless I doubt he was ever going to get that role, he is doing what all actors do, speaking on their dream roles (even if they have zero chance of getting it). I think that's fine without shitting on them for a literal hypothetical scenario

Not a big deal, you are way overthinking random twitter idiots' comments. :emoji_rolling_eyes:
