Well, I beg to differ. I have family that moved to Mexico, and there’s like a disconnect between gays in media and in society. For example Polo Morin and Lambda Garcia are just some examples. I never saw either of them “come out” in Instagram or in the press. Sure, there’s some gay actors, but very few. Hell, I was even convinced that if people came out, their press coverage/fame would dramatically increase. Oh and lesbian actresses, far worse situation, I hear....

Mexico is a country of over 120 million people, which makes generalizations like "homosexuality is quite accepted in Mexico" plain wrong. Each family, each community is a different ecosystem so I think you should talk about your experience and learn to validate other people's experiences. I know people in Mexico whose lives would be at risk if they come out but even if that wasn't the case, each person ideals with his or her own choices about coming out at the time that is right for them and that is certainly none of your business - as long as he or she's not hurting anybody else and it certainly doesn't sound like you're being affected. I don't give a fuck about David Ortega and don't even know who he is. However, suggesting what he "should do" or "shouldn't do" about coming out and assuming to know why someone makes personal life choices is fucking pretentious and exemplifies a lot of what's wrong with our society. This is no different to a righteous MAGA supporter who wants to tell a woman how she should live her life and make choices about her own body. I don't get involved in politics or polemic discussions on LPGS because I am here for fun and flirting but I can't remain silent with hateful and judgmental comments like yours because it is precisely what's wrong with our society.
