An architect flees the Holocaust, comes over here, his relatives are mean to him. But then he gets a job and his boss rapes him. His wife from the old country also has managed to flee Europe with their niece and confronts her husband's boss about it but gets thrown out of the house for bringing it up. Years later he receives an award for architecture.
