You would think that management at OF would take a look at what’s happened to tumblr since they took a hard line on explicit material and realize that it’s not going to help their business model any.
I realize they’re getting pressure from different directions, but maybe the answer is to find different investors or find offshore investors who don’t care, or something.
On one hand (see what I did there lol), it could mean these ridiculous half ass creators, start making content fans really want to see (and pay for) before October rolls around. It'll also get rid of the complete scammers who make their coins off stolen and/or faked material.
I can see it now. What happened to Tumblr is exactly what’s going to happen to OnlyFans. They’ll be filing for bankruptcy or reversing this policy.
Sexy people will never have trouble selling their naked content lol. OnlyFans will be a mere memory a year from now, and Dylan and every other model or adult performer will go on selling access to their content via private email newsletter. And they won’t even have to give a cut of their take to a platform app
There will be a new platform that will pick up where OF left off. The porn business is way too big for that not to happen.
They exist but they’re just not as big as OnlyFans. JustFor.Fans, 4MyFans, fansly, ManyVids, etc.
They will all have the same issues OnlyFans has. De-platforming by major banks and credit cards.
We'll see if they can find a way around it that will still bring in money.
Exactly. Visa and Mastercard claim that it's to crack down on child pornography, trafficking, and revenge porn, but are those things really as pervasive on Pornhub/Onlyfans as they say they are? Or is it just an excuse to shut these sites down to appease their own conservative investors?
Apparently the whole thing was triggered by Mastercard requiring them by October to pre-screen everything that's posted to ensure that there's no illegal content. But I don't see how banning porn was a more sensible decision than just hiring a team of mods?
The scammers are going to be fucked. If they stay on onlyfans then everyone will know that there's nothing pornographic there and not to sign up, and the other platforms (justforfans in particular) are a lot more transparent and allow you to see a profile before you sign up, and I don't think most of them have PPVs.

JustForFans is worse in my opinion. The founder D0m1n1ç F0rd has many public accusations of sexual assault unfortunately and has threatened people who talk in support of the victims. That aside, they also take a larger chunk of the profits from their members (30% versus 20% for OnlyFans) despite having a notoriously clunky website that loads content poorly. Just yesterday they had a ‘planned’ server outage.
