You go after the men who wage war for oil and then then herald Eisenhower? He authorized Operation Ajax, which is the biggest single reason the people of Iran hate us, a major resaon many in the Middle East mistrust us, and it opened Pandora's box on foreign intervention by the CIA.
In case you're unaware of what Operation Ajax was, it was our overthrow of the peaceful democratic
Government of Iran for one single purpose: To resume the flow of cheap oil to American and British oil companies.
While I agree that soldiers die so the rich can get richer, it's pretty ignorant to hold Someone like Eisenhower up as some sort of virtuous sage. He's one of the biggest reasons we're so hated over there.
