Perhaps it’s the tattoos, but he really hasn’t aged well imo
He looks fine. He’s just always looked older than his age.

But that’s no necessarily a bad thing. It’s not like he looks like haggard old man, he just looks like someone in their mid 30s at 25.

Dude has always had that weird power where if he cleans up he knocks a good number of years off himself.

Yeah, agreed. Because he's short and hairy and covered and tattoos it tends to make him look a little bit older when he's just kind of casually dressed (or undressed). But he still cleans up really well when he wants to.

He's a bit too young, I think. But otherwise yes, he's a pretty good choice. Some might argue he's too pretty, which, maybe.
Wolverine's appearance in the comics veers wildly from actually handsome short king to literal woodland creature, but I do think he's too young. Wolverine needs to have a vibe that tells you that motherfucker has been around for a looong time and seen some shit.

Wolverine casting choice based off looks is a pretty wide margin. You could nearly put ANYONE in the role and it could work. As long as they had the right build and couldn't play for the NBA. Remember, he should always be the shortest one in the group. He shouldn't be shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Emma Frost or Storm who are both nearly or over 6ft in heels. But that can easily be corrected with the proper camera angles.

Yeah, I think he can even be "pretty" to an extent (I picture Scott Speedman in the role, tbh), as long as he's not too young, not too tall, with broad shoulders (kind of a barrel-chested build as opposed to slim) and, most importantly, that he gets the rough voice and feral energy right, unlike Hugh Jackman who almost always just looked bored or confused.
