This video is a mishmash of shoots, as well as the interview hour when he was in the Pad, this is because the shoots got corrupted while making the finished product, and they had to make do with what was left... Lee was one that got away, never joined the Pad sadly

See, he seemed Latin more than Italian, but said only Italian in what I watched and mentions "italian sausage". So that makes sense. Maybe it was a translation thing where he didn't understand the term.
