Yes, he teased that project quite a bit. That's why so many were speculating. Boy loves to drop hints.

I am still convinced that he nearly booked the job and then lost in somehow.

That's what I always thought. He was probably in the top running, and just didn't get the final gig.

I still think it would have been nice to see him on a weekly show.

Someone speculated he got the role but dropped out cause hp2 was a better opportunity
