Hi guys, I need some advice or opinions.

I met this guys on Grindr (Sep 2024). He’s 31 and I’m 34. He texted me first wanting to hook up since his family was on vacation and he was at home all alone. I told him even though he was my type, I wouldn’t have sex with just anyone within the first hour talking. He agreed to talk so we started trading pics, Instagram accounts. After one or two days on Gr, I couldn’t see his account anymore. He said he deleted the app. We switched to chatting on Insta but he took a long time to reply my texts. When we met, he said he preferred texting then gave me his number which he also claimed that not too many people have. I asked him out to go hiking and he let me waited there for an hour before telling me that he couldn’t make it ‘cause his best friend fought with her bf the night before and he had to stay to comfort her (I saw him online sharing some silly videos on his Insta while waiting for him in silence.) Once he told me he went to Mexico to get hair transplant, I waited patiently for 2 weeks and asked when was he back just to know that he had been back for many days. Tbh, it hurts me a lot. Then, he let me waited for another time without saying anything until the next day with an excuse of being very sick. After that, he showered me with texts (like how a normal person communicates) for ONE day. Then, everything went back to silence. Whenever we text, I don’t know what to expect anymore because I don’t know if my texts will be answered or not, or even if he suddenly stops again. He has stopped talking while in a conversation many times (left many of my questions unanswered.) Not like I want to be his bf or demand something more, but I felt like while I value him a lot, he just doesn’t see me as a friend but somebody he goes to when he wanted sex.

I already told him my feelings through messages but as I said, he just doesn’t reply and acts like nothing happened (if I text him again and me myself ignore all the issues before.)

Do you guys think that I fell for him or I am just being dramatic about this fwb? Should I try to work things out (if yes, how?) or just move on?

If he's really hot, he may have gotten used to having to put NO effort into communications and kindness and still being in constant desire for sexual fun. Not someone you'll be able to have much satisfying time with.

For me, he’s not really hot. He’s out of shape now tbh. But I appreciate what he did for me, that’s why I couldn’t let go easily and keep trying to work things out. Now, I feel exhausted and need some advice to move on.

I know how you feel. I've fucked a lot of college-aged daddy's boys and I really enjoyed some of them! We became friends for a short time but they drift away, and then I miss them. Some more than others. Pursuing this guy isn't healthy for you because he doesn't even value enough to communicate with you. You're better off enjoying what you had in the past and moving on.
