I'm sure it's been said and speculated about here plenty, but if it has, I've just not seen it those times, but Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds... He's a "fierce LGBTQ+ ally," but, like,... there's got to be more to that, no? I think he has a gay brother or something, but I just feel like a normal straight dude isn't going to rep LGBTQ+ anything as hard as he does, regardless of having a gay sibling or not.

From the sounds of it, it basically comes from him feeling guilty about having once been a Mormon missionary in a church that's explicitly homophobic and wanting to make up for it after understanding how much his church hurts LGBT people. He doesn't come off as part of the community at all to me, like not even a little bit.

Seems like over thinking. We already have the reason why he "reps so hard." His brother is gay and he's ex Mormon. Seems like a reasonable enough explanation to me. Has he actually done anything to suggest he's not straight outside of advocacy?

I never met the man, but to me he seems like a very cool, very straight guy. I have never received a bi or down low vibe from him at all.

I don’t know much about him other than his music and that interview but after watching that I still think he’s probably straight. That video gives me more of a bro vibe. He’s probably just comfortable in his straightness to do that because he’s such an advocate. As a guy with 5 brothers all typical “jock” types I’ve been around many straight guys all my life. Many who I’m still friends with. I’ve seen plenty of them act like him but are Kinsey 1s. Mostly because they are comfortable who they are and gave the bro mentality. I can flirt with some and they will flirt right back but I know it’s nothing there.I’ve also been around the ones that are likely bi or pan in secret and they generally do s little more than that. That was a laid back interview so it makes sense.

Now we have heartstopper, the last of us, Young Royals, the Chucky tv show, elite... Literally every tv show now there's at least one queer character ( except for that shitty outer banks show on Netflix ) and we are still getting that Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke cowboy short film, jacob elordi and Diego calva, Andrew Scott and Paul mescal...
