Like all forms of human intuition, everyone's gaydar is not created equal. To me, Shawn Mendes is an obvious closet case but apparently there are many who still don't see it. I also think gaydar becomes more effective with age and most of Shawn's fanbase are quite young. Then there are the truly wishful thinkers and trolls who make things more complicated.
There are benefits of being a blissfully unaware sheep in life as the last two years have made it clear. Noticing patterns and connecting things one probably shouldn't say out loud makes life more difficult. Speaking of conspiracy theories, I hope TPTB won't order something like an Order 66 on the following people.
